Adventure 777: Herbie Joe on the Go/Winter in Tucson

Me and my Bunny hold the opinion that "If you rest you rust". Therefore, we left the winter drab of Spokaloo for the promise of sunny skies in Tucson. We packed so much stuff into every nook and cranny of our car, Herbie Joe, we were shoe horned in like NASCAR drivers. It only took us fifteen roll call votes to decide on which route to drive. Under consideration was I-5 South, which fell by the wayside when so much rain fell in Northern California, mud started sliding like GOP exhortations. Also discarded was 93 South out of Twin Falls due the absolute desolation of the route, and the fact that much of it is two lane. We considered going East over Look Out pass to Butte and South down highway fifteen, but I dislike Look Out pass even in the summer. Finally, we decided to head South over Dead Man Pass out of Pendleton through Southern Idaho, Salt Lake City, St. George, and Las Vegas. It's always a crap shoot in the winter, but this year, our 1600 mile trip proved uneventful. Thank the Lord for traveling mercies. Our friends, the Kral's, welcomed us with open arms, big smiles, a scrumptious dinner, and comfortable overnight  lodging. We enjoyed an evening of  jibber-jabber, a little football, and the promise of a pleasant three month stay. Our rented home is in the same housing complex as the Kral's. It's nice to be around good friends. The only mistake I made is not connecting with other good friend's, the Ellsworth's, who winter in Lake Havasu. For some reason, I became confused when voting for our route. I realized too late that we could have included Lake Havasu. I do like "to have it all", so this is our loss. Nevertheless, we take possession of our winter digs tomorrow, and like we're fond of saying, "Life is good, especially today.

Good bye, Frosty.
