Adventure 700: Catalina State Park Revisited/Post H

We headed back out to the wilderness today on the Sutherland trail, seven miles in total to the exact spot we went to yesterday except this time we hiked. The trail is named for William and Elizabeth Sutherland who ranched in this area in the late 1800s. We're pretty well acquainted with the area now that we have a few way points in our memory banks. If we were to connect the last quarter of the hikes we've taken the last three days, the loop would be just under eight miles and would return us to Catalina State Park via the 50 Year Trail. Due to another freeze warning, we had to unhook the water last night, but I'm not sure it froze as hard as it has the past few days. A pretty big wind is blowing through as I write this, so a new weather band is on its way in, and I rolled up the awning just to be safe. I spent the afternoon moaning in my beer because the Cager has extended her lead in our cribbage battle. I put a new deck on the shopping list. Maybe that will help. It's become a pretty nice routine. Wake up. Breakfast, coffee, and a game. Hike. Shower. Lunch and a game. Relax. Truly, life is good, especially if we don't consider the definition of normal political discourse.

Whoever doesn't believe in alien life forms, should have been with us trying to dodge this ray gun.
