Adventure 733: Luckenbach, Texas/Post A

Had a little scare, almost ran out of gas bucking a headwind into Ozana. Really got nervous when we missed the exit and had to double back. Our fears were unfounded because when Fric's gauge says dead empty, we still have two gallons in the tank. Whew! I thought I'd have to ride my bike for gas. Other than that we rolled into Fredericcksburg about 1:30 P.M. and sadly, we had to shop at the evil empire (Walmart). It was a quick visit and then out to Luchenbach for our two night say. We joined the crowd, more so because of Texas spring break. I told Judy that she might be one of two Biden voters in the place, and then I wasn't even sure about that. We listened to the afternoon picking circle music, sipped on a Lone Star, and generally enjoyed the warm wind. We'll have an early dinner and go back for the evening show. This place is magical, and we always feel good here. This is our third visit, and despite the familiarity of the barn wood bar, the frazzled chickens, and the plethora of Republicans, we find the place as enjoyable as cotton candy at the fair. So, naturally, life is good, especially today.

No mail, but plenty of Luchenbach swag for sale.
Pickers. One notable line: "When this beer is finished, I'll be gone."
Selfie of the day: Can you say Biden?
Worth the $4.
Boondocking at Luchenbach. Park anywhere beyond the last tree.
We've arrived.
Hats off, ladies first, no foul language, and lots of yessir.
