"Oh, frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! He chortled in his joy..." The start of some fun times began today when Liz Ulmen showed up safe and sound in her "Liz Mobile". She's the advanced party of our Spokane/Seattle friends who will be joining us soon. Most of us are grandparents who adore our progeny, but let's face it, "We ain't dead yet." So bring on the adult time! As for the advanced party, we enjoyed a home body dinner followed by a trip to Frost Gelato because today is ice cream day, a tradition Liz's husband Dave started with their youngest son to celebrate each hour of increased sunlight during the spring. Jer, the youngest son, is now carrying the tradition forward with his children, and not to be out done, we followed suit here in Tucson. After ice cream, we watched an uplifting movie called Te Ata. The whole evening helped us realize that life is good, especially today.
The "Liz Mobile", no stranger to misfortune, made it safe and sound to Tucson.
