You know that feeling you get as the mechanicals crank a roller coaster to the apex of one of the peaks on the run, that feeling where you heart comes into your throat just before gravity whooshes you down...well that's how excited we are to spend the next week with our buddies. Having said that, we suffered so much grandson withdrawal today, we had to go to the furniture store to look at chairs. WE INTERRUPT THIS VACATION TO SUPPOSE ABOUT THE FUTURE. Judy's sister and brother-in-law are downsizing in much the same way we are, and Karen reported to Judy that the new space was "smaller" that she realized. That comment started us thinking about the apartment we're moving into when we get home in April. Our plan is to move our existing furniture into the new place; however, it's comfortable but puffy. Our friends, the Kral's, have these sleek, ultra comfortable chairs they bought at Copenhagen Imports. Not only are they comfortable, but they take up much less room than our stuff would. So that was our big adventure today. On a maintenance note, the anchor clanking, deck swabbing, porthole peeping, oyster eyed Wiley Cager has beaten me six times out of nine this month. I'm hoping for a turn of fortunes soon. Besides crib, we did a little house cleaning, Judy volunteered at the seed farm, and I had another Tai Chi lesson with Sifu Jordan Misner. So, even though we're missing our little guy (and his mother), we're pretty sure that life is good, especially today.
See ya next time, Buddy.
Lots of European styled furniture in the store, most of it rather stunning.
We ambled around, sat on a few chairs and left without denting our wallets.
I'm sure the salesman, Maurice, would have had it another way. Maybe next time.
