Our last full day with the Coble's meant we were treated to a Ross breakfast of fresh biscuits, fresh fruit, creamy scrambled eggs, sausage, and strong rich coffee. Hard to start a day much better. After breakfast, we left the Coble's to their own devices. I went to my Tai Chi lesson and Judy went to her training session. For lunch, we visited our favorite taco truck, El Nene, which was Ross and Dinah's introduction to the place. They were suitably impressed. For our day's adventure, we wandered through Tohono Chul, a private garden/ desert experience. The weather was warm, wind light and variable, so we meandered, admiring the flora and the fauna. Tohono Chul is nice because they have placards naming all of the plants, and they've amassed a not quite natural space. Instead, they have examples of every variety of desert plant. It's really a manicured garden that is designed to look natural. Pretty cool place. Afterward, we paid homage to our daughter's discovery of putting tequila into Eegee fruit slushies. We sat on the deck, nibbled on chips and salsa. For dinner, we introduced Ross and Dinah to another taste treat: animal style burgers and fries at an In 'n Out. This being Ross and Dinah's last night with us, we had to make sure they experienced all of our favorite haunts, which were made all the better because we shared. I know I say this every post, but life truly is good, especially today.
Ross had to try El Nene's Sonoran Hot Dog.
Take me to your leader.
They labeled these petroglyphs as the Tohono newspaper.
