Adventure 707: Sentinel Peak RV/Post D

We slept in this morning after our late night watching the Zags. After a scrumptious salmon scramble breakfast we went for a ride South on the Santa Cruz River Park spur that ends at Valencia avenue just North of the Tohono O'Odham Nation. Along the way we passed a section of trail called Paseo del Arboles, which is a couple hundred trees which people have purchased and planted. For their donation, they get their name next to the tree. Besides raising money, it's a nice way to help reclaim the desert. After our ride, we lounged around until the Super Duper Bowl started. During halftime we went across the street to the local Egees for a fruit slushy. Eegees is a Tucson "must do" according to the travelogues. Now we've done it, and although we called them 'Slushies' where we come from, they were still refreshingly good, especially after the eighty degree day. So, someone will win this Super Duper Bowl game, and for them life will be good, especially today. As for us, we're thankful for our blessings.

Another nice day for riding.
Santa Cruz River had a little trickle running through it.
This is Arizona Wildcat country.
Another sighting of a lime colored biker babe.
I love these art pieces along the trail.
Take it easy, have an Eegees.

Can't ever forget the saguaros.
