Adventure 208: Covered Wagon RV Park/Phoenix, AZ/Post L

Judy's little egg and weenies with semel on the side.
Holy Jumping Hawkeye! Judy changed the routine. The minute I describe our morning routine, she up and decides she doesn't want oatmeal. Her exact words are quite cute (It makes me think of her mother, Dorothy), "I think I want a little egg". So be it. I did my usual thing: Dream, snuggle, pills, dress, coffee, Spanish. I must say, the little egg was quite tasty along with the little sausages and, of course, semel (No cheese). She also managed to close the gap to one game with only the minimum of Wily Cager maneuvers. Then we did laundry and cleaned the trailer. Some domestication is required. It's not all adventures and food. With the clothes on the line to dry, we ventured out to a recreation area called Dreamy Draw, which is a maze of multi-use trails in the Phoenix Mountains. The trails range from easy to difficult, and are used by hikers, bikers, lizards, and snakes. We also found out by reading a review of the place after we got back that a few gay men use the place to hook up, much to the consternation of the families enjoying nice afternoon picnics. Judy thought the review board could have left that particular one off, but freedom of speech and freedom of action obviously reign supreme in the great state of Arizona. After our little outdoor adventure, we came home, brought in the wash, and I made the bed and lunch. We then frittered the afternoon away reading and knitting. Tonight's Tai Chi class was also exceptional. David spent about a half hour on the subtleties of the opening move. As he says, "It's better to know a little well than a lot poorly. Miss by an inch, miss by a mile." He also said, and my teacher says the same, "There's plenty of information in the first few moves of the form." For our finale of the day, we'll hopefully watch the Zags wallop Pacific on the Dishanywhere network. Technology is amazing (Magic, I think), and it's nice for rabid hoopers like ourselves to watch our home team play. So all is well down here in desert. We've thankfully managed to avoid the auto accidents and the road rage incidents that we hear about on the news. We're grateful for that. As always, life is good, especially today.

Strange and beautiful clouds over the desert today.
Rub a dub, dub, all this in the tub.

Stumpy did pretty well. We walked nearly five miles.
 There she goes.
The clouds softened the rugged terrain.
These spiny little guys are growing all over. They aren't as soft as they look.
A lonely saguaro points the way.
Art shot of the day. RVing is good.
Our thin gruel for dinner was this Thai Chicken Quinoa Salad. Yummy.
