Adventure 815: Day 38/Tucson/2023

There have been times in my life when the anticipation of Christmas, a birthday, an anniversary, or some other big event has fallen flat. Not today. We eagerly awaited the arrival of Ross and Dinah Coble, and  when they arrived our hearts skipped disco beats, our heels clicked together like Dorothy and her ruby slippers, and our spirits rose like sweet dough. Hugs were issued all around. Then the normal jibber-jabber ensued. The talk quickly fell into old patterns as comfortable as a fuzzy blanket on a chilly day. Before dinner, everyone moved around like practiced square dancers, hooking arms in a "Dosie doe" with a different partner.  Then we enjoyed a sit down dinner where conversation bubbled: pure joy flowed like clear water in a mountain stream. We're looking forward to showing these guys some of the sights in Tucson, so stay tuned because life is good, especially today.

Ross and Dinah greeted by Liz. The rest of us soon followed puckering up like  gold fish at feeding time.

Deb and Dinah talking serious.

Ross and Dinah paying rapt attention.

Judy and Dinah, two perfectly matched peas, exchange a word.

Earlier, Liz and I rode the trail for two hours. With the aid of our electric motors, we averaged fifteen miles an hour and covered thirty miles. It was a good ride.

Most of the old crew back together. It's really as good as it gets.
Judy  broke out the sweet treats for dessert.

Hugs good night.
