Adventure 761: Herbie Joe on the Go/Billings, MT

Fricless and Fracless but not travel bugless, we headed East this morning in Herbie Joe, our (new to us) Lexus we bought with trailer proceeds. It's more luxury for us, or at least more than we need. Tonight we're staying in a converted garage Air B&B in Billings, which is furnished with an excellent shower, a microwave, a toaster oven, a hot plate, a cool fridge, Netflix, and everything else we need for an overnight stay. We're on our way to see our nieces, Miss Kim and Miss Kate. We'll also see their father, Kel and and his bride, Miss Karen, before heading, as usual to Manhattan to visit the Franz's. It will be a two week Midwest swing to enjoy people we love. Our trip today began with blazing sun in our eyes, fleeting shadows around every corner, and clear, clean Montana pavement. We also caught sight of splashes of bright yellow Aspens, a little bit of burnt orange, and of course, the Big Sky. Our trip was uneventful, and it included a delightful lunch stop along the side of the road in Drummond, MT. Upon arrival in Billings, we made it to the Montana Brewery for dinner, which we shared. I was allowed one beer and had two. Our gochachang rice bowl and house salad were delightful. We're now showered, shaved, and comfortable in our bed attire ready to watch another episode of Friday Night Lights. That surely means that life is good, especially today.

Somewhere out of Bozeman.
Quaking Aspens at every turn.
85 mph in Montana.
Manito Gardens yesterday in Spokane.
Selfie of the Day: That's the two beer grin.
Manito Rose Garden yesterday.
We sold Frac and replaced him with Herbie Joe.
Captain Mullen says, "Westward Ho!"
