There are no bad days at the lake, so when the cold rain and booming thunder greeted us at the start of this year's stay, we merely slipped on our warm fuzzies and hunkered down for the show. This will mark the fourth year in a row that we've gathered our whole bunch for the summer. This year we'll spend nine days here at the Ferguson Family Lake House which lies just North of Huckleberry Bay on the East side of the lake. By tomorrow the weather will turn warm, but Falcon and Emily can't wait. They've plunged into the water already and are busy building sand creations on the beach. It's been a slow and easy start. We brought pizza for the first night. Libby made her famous enchiladas and corn salad last night. Lunch is sandwich fare. Everyone scavenges on their own when it suits them. Snack trays come out whenever someone decides to build one. This morning I made pancakes, bacon, and a few fried eggs. And that about sizes things up as far as us eating, drinking, and being merry. More merriment will ensue when we're a complete group by this afternoon after Steve and Leticia arrive. So basically, as things heat up, it's safe to say that life is good, especially today.
